Web Tools Research and Development

Try out one (or more) of the following online/downloadable tools.

  • Spend at least one full class period really trying all the functions: watch the tutorials, read about the products and really try to create/test multiple things with them.

  • Realize that at first you may get frustrated-- that is natural. Just keep trying to see what the tool does.

  • Feel free to search for other tutorials or ideas from other users to see what can be done with the tools.

  • If you are making progress, stick with the tool for multiple classes-- we want real research and development with these tools.

  • Programs which need to be installed may require Mr. Hadd or Mrs. Payne’s permission. Do not use these on days that neither of us are here.

About account creation: Whenever possible, choose the “sign up with Google account” option. DO NOT use your full real name. SIgn up with your Google email.

When you are done, fill out an evaluation form  for each tool you test. Link to Evaluation Form

Physics Simulations
(These are not creation tools. They will allow you to test physics concepts by changing factors. Try a number of the simulations on your chosen site, change the settings and think about how they could be used.)

Tesselation/ Math Tools
(Mr. Hardy is looking for math tools for a geometry project. We will share your research with him.)
