Special Meeting

MINUTES

 

Board Present:                  Irene Bonin, Ron King, Jen Petrie, Doug Bergstrom

 

  1. Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 6:10pm.

 

  1. Appointment of Board Member to Fill Vacancy

 

Action: Irene Bonin moved to appoint Casey Hager to complete the school board term left vacant by Wendy Larose.  Jen Petrie seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

 

  1. Communication

The Board discussed how to improve communication. Items discussed were to change back to two meeting per month, thorough agendas, full board, availability of the board at open houses and events, and a teacher meet-and-greet.

 

  1. Supervisory Union

The Board discussed investigating GEMS leaving Franklin West and moving to Franklin Central. This will be investigated further and brought up at future meetings.

 

  1. Bus Update

Discussed the possibility of utilizing Transit Network for bussing. More information will be coming.

 

  1. Negotiations Update

Updating the board on the progress of negotiations. More information will be coming at future meetings.

 

  1. Adjourn

The meeting was adjourned at 7:30.
