to Order
The meeting was called to order at 6:05 PM
II. Public Comment – None.
III. Consent
Agenda
A. Minutes
ACTION: Motion by Chris Mitiguy to approve the
minutes of the Regular Meeting on December 19, 2006, seconded by Ron King,
approved unanimously.
IV. New Business
A. Approved FY2008 Budget
ACTION: Motion by Chris Mitiguy to
accept the budget as presented for presentation to the voters on town meeting
day, seconded by Ron King, approved unanimously.
B. Approve Bus Article – Armando distributed a
draft of the bus article which was forwarded to the state for review. The state mentioned that the wording seemed
vague. It has since been forwarded to
an attorney for review. The additional
buses needed for the new routes would need to be put out to bid. A number of issues were raised regarding the
change to one bus route. The board
discussed presenting a non-binding article to the voters.
ACTION: Motion by Ron King to approve
the administrators to put together wording for a non-binding article regarding the
consolidation of the bus routes for presentation to the voters, seconded by
Chris Mitiguy, approved unanimously.
V. Policies
A. Tuition Payment Policy – There was further
discussion regarding the policy. This
policy will be tabled until next month.
B. Public Use of School Facilities Policy – There
was a change made to accommodate the after-school and summer program.
ACTION: Motion by Chris Mitiguy to
accept the Public Use of School Facilities Policy as presented, seconded by Ron
King, approved unanimously.
VI.
Other – Ron King discussed the most recent Franklin
West meeting. He stated that their
budget had been approved, which was less than initially set forward. Armando mentioned that with a re-election
coming up, the board may want to consider making the meetings once a month,
instead of twice.
