Georgia Elementary Middle School: CALLING ALL ENGINEERS!

The 6th grade STEM team would like to invite any interested community members to participate in our first ever Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Festival! The date is set for June 1st at 1:00 in the big gym at GEMS. Georgia Elementary Middle School: 8TH GRADE GRADUATION

Graduation for GEMS 8th graders is scheduled for June 13th.  Commencement will take place in the Big Gym and will begin at 7:00 p.m. Congratulations GEMS 8th grade Class of 2012!

Georgia Elementary Middle School: SHADOW PUPPETS

During the month of March, Sarah Frechette and Jason Thibodeaux, of Puppetkabob, worked with GEMS third and fourth graders creating original stories to bring Vermont and Georgia history to life with shadow puppet presentations. The students were able to show the elementary student body and their parents what they learned about shadow puppetry and their local and state history in a presentation (Continued...)

Would you like to do something special for your student's teacher(s)? Starting to think about Teacher Appreciation coming up in May? The GEMS PTO would like to remind parents to check out the Wish Lists for their student's teacher(s). These lists include needed and desired items for their classrooms. 

Georgia Elementary Middle School: SPORTS PHYSICALS

Sports Physicals are required for students in grades 5-8 wishing to play any afterschool sport. Athletes may not practice/play without this form on file. 
Students in these grades are very physically active so we ask that ALL students have a current copy of the sports clearance form from their doctor.  These forms are kept on file for physical education classes, field trips (Continued...)

Georgia Elementary Middle School: 2012-2013 KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

It is Kindergarten registration time for the 2012-2013 school year! If your child is not currently enrolled in the GEMS Preschool Program, please contact the GEMS office at 524-6358. Those currently in the GEMS Preschool Program do not need to register for kindergarten.
