Grade 8
Modified Block Schedule
The 8th
Grade team will utilize a block format for scheduling on
Tuesdays and Wednesdays. On these days students will have two
core classes for two hours each. This extended time in each
core class will allow for greater depth of study and more
time-consuming learning experiences such as science labs and
the writing process. Mondays,
Thursdays and Fridays will remain unchanged except in the case
of a snow day on one of the block days.
The following table shows the new 8th
grade schedule. The gray areas are the new blocks periods.
This sample does not take into account class rotation.

The teachers will discuss
progress with the schedule regularly and solicit feedback from
students and parents. We look forward to the new teaching and
