Week of June 2, 2008
Mrs. Mahoney, Language Arts
The next few weeks are going to be busy ones in Language Arts. Students need to be finishing up the required 25 books to meet the State Standard. They will need to type and print off a final list of those titles and authors that they read this past year.
Students will be writing one last piece for
their Writing Portfolio and then compiling the other pieces from this
year's work. I have 4 of the writing pieces already.
Both of these projects are in addition to normal
language arts activities and assignments- grammar and reading. I
will be giving the students the directions next week, after the Gates-MacGinitie
reading test this week and the NECAP Science test next week.
Students should have plenty of time and no
problems in organizing these assignments if they have
consistently done the work this past year.
If you have any concerns or questions, please
contact me. Thank you.
