Scholastic Reading Counts - is a reading motivation and management program that provides student quizzes for thousands of books.
Databases and Resources available within GEMS and on the Internet with a password. Password information is available only to our GEMS students and staff. Students may get password information from their teachers or from the library staff. You may also contact Diane Leyden for password information.
EBSCO - Teacher Resources - This online resource provides access to "Professional Development Collection", a specialized collection of over 515 full text journals, including nearly 350 peer-reviewed titles. Professional Development Collection is the most comprehensive collection of full text education journals in the world. This online resource also provides access to ERIC that contains more than 2,200 digests with references for additional information.
Vermont Online Library - Professional Collection - This online resource provides access to full text periodicals for teachers and administrators.

The Big 6 Home presents an approach to information problem solving that can be used with students from K through college.
BlueWeb'n - an online library of more than 1200 recommended educational web sites categorized by subject, grade level and format.
Cable in the Classroom - this website provides monthly subject guides and online resource search for current curriculum related cable programming that you might want us to obtain for you. Be sure to select “extended taping rights” to limit your subject search to those programs that we can legally obtain. Consider signing up for the CIC resource alerts and monthly e-mail newsletters.

Landscape Change Program - is an archive of paired historic and recent photos of Vermont landscapes funded by the National Science Foundation to digitally document how the Vermont landscape has changed over time.
Marco Polo - Provides access to highest quality, standards-based Internet content and professional development for teachers.
Vermont Center for Geographic Information - Provides links to very helpful Vermont maps including an interactive map, static maps and a digital atlas. Go to the "Vermont Geography Portal Web Map" to explore an interactive map with lots of Vermont information.
