Welcome to the GEMS Learning Center. We are a modern school library with a collection of over 15,000 books, over 38 periodicals as well as subscriptions to a variety of electronic resources available for both student and staff use. We also maintain an instructional media collection for loan to our staff. Our  librarians are Mrs. Diane Leyden and Mrs. Linda Terrien.

The Learning Center is open for use of the morning K and 1-4 students from 8-2:15 and for the use of the 5-8 students from 8:45-3:15. Students in grades 5-8 may use the Learning Center before 8:45 with a teacher's written permission.

New Part Time Librarian
Hello to all staff, students, parents, and the Georgia community. My name is Linda Terrien and I will be sharing the library media specialist position with Mrs. Diane Leyden this year. I am so happy to be working at GEMS, the school has such a positive reputation in the community! I had worked as a registered nurse for twenty years and decided to change careers once my 2 daughters, ages 10 and 12, started school. I worked at the Burnham Memorial Library in Colchester for several years. I completed the Library Media Studies program at UVM and I received my license this past spring. This is my first experience in the educational setting and I look forward to working with all of you in the upcoming school year.
