Welcome to the Georgia
Early Childhood, Elementary & Middle School
Parent Teacher Association Homepage

Welcome to the Georgia Early Childhood(EC), Elementary & Middle School(GEMS) Parent Teacher Association (PTA). The PTA is a group of parents and teachers who work together during the school year to raise money for special programs, activities, and equipment for our school. The things that the PTA is able to provide for the benefit of our students go above and beyond what the standard curriculum and budget can provide. Thank you for visiting!

Early Childhood & GEMS PTA Mission
  • We want to develop a community where new births are celebrated and children continue to be celebrated throughout their lives.
  • We want to be a community resource within the school where parents of children of all ages can find out what's going on, how to get involved and where to find the resources they need.
  • We want to be the gateway to establishing strong relationships between the school and community, beginning at birth and continuing through life.
  • We want to develop a network where children have the opportunity to meet, play and develop with other children and where parents have the opportunity to interact, establish relationships and gain support from other parents.

The Mission of the National Parent Teacher Association

  • To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
  • To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children;
  • To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

The Purposes of the Parent Teacher Association

  • To promote the welfare of the children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
  • To raise the standards of home life.
  • To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
  • To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
  • To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
